Abstract: Shear thickening fluid is a kind of intelligent material. The unique rheological properties have attracted extensive attention in academia The current research focus is to apply it to the field of cushioning and damping, but due to the performance constraints, the application and development of devices are restricted. Therefore, the shear thickening mechanism of shear thickening solution is summarized, and the performance of device application is summarized. Finally, the advantages and disadvantages of shear thickening fluid and its device applications are summarized, which provides some enlightenment for the research and development of new shear thickening materials.
