Abstract:
ZnO/Cu
2O heterojunction cell has great development perspective due to non-toxic material, low production cost and environment friendly, etc. In this paper, the ZnO thin films were prepared by spin coating method, and then the Cu
2O films was obtained by the method of vacuum evaporation and thermal oxidation. The films were proved to have high flatness by SEM measurements. Finally, Ag electrode was prepared using vacuum vapor deposition method. The photoelectric properties of FTO/ZnO/Cu
2O/Ag cell were investigated through the thickness variation of Cu
2O thin film. In order to further improve the battery performance, the TiO
2 light absorption layer was added to assemble the FTO/TiO
2/ZnO/Cu
2O/Ag heterostructure batteries. The results showed that the TiO
2 light absorption layer to improve the short circuit current and open circuit voltage. In addition, the battery was directly assembled in the atmosphere, the assembly process was simple and worth promoting.
