Abstract:
As a metal-organic framework material, UiO-66 inherits the characteristics of metal-organic framework material, including high specific surface area, multiple active sites and tunable porous structures, as well as exhibits semiconductor-like behaviors. The porous structure of UiO-66 is very favorable for the rapid transfer of photogenerated carriers, and the energy band is also meets the requirements of photocatalytic water splitting. However, UiO-66 can only respond to ultraviolet light for its wide bandgap, so it is necessary to be modified. In this paper, the design, synthesis and research progress of UiO-66 composite in recent years are reviewed. The problems are analyzed and discussed, and the applications in photocatalytic hydrogen evolution are prospected.
